Initial Setup Requirements

Begin registration by selecting Jamaica as your country on our website. Provide a valid email and create a secure password containing uppercase letters, numbers, and special symbols. Complete all personal details including nationality and US tax residency status. Accurate address information matching local locations like Kingston, Spanish Town, or Portmore is necessary. This ensures smooth verification and compliance with Jamaica’s regulatory framework.

Financial Information Collection

Specify your employment status and education level from dropdown menus. Provide your annual income bracket and net worth range as required for regulatory compliance. Inform us about your primary income sources and expected deposit amounts for the next year. This data helps us tailor leverage options and risk controls suitable for Jamaican traders.

Document Verification Steps

To activate your account, submit three essential documents. First, upload a government-issued ID such as a passport or national ID card, showing your full name, photograph, and expiry date. Next, provide proof of residence dated within the last six months, including utility bills or bank statements reflecting your registered Jamaican address.

Finally, complete the liveness check using your smartphone camera. This captures a selfie and matches it with your ID photo to prevent identity theft. Documents can be uploaded via our secure website portal or mobile app. Verification typically completes within 24 to 48 business hours.

Once approved, you will receive an email containing your MetaTrader 4 login details, including server addresses and temporary passwords for immediate access.

MetaTrader 4 Download and Installation

Desktop Platform Setup

Download the MetaTrader 4 installer from our official FxPro website. The Windows version requires at least 50MB of free disk space and is compatible with Windows 7 or newer. Mac users can access MetaTrader 4 via our web terminal or mobile applications since a native Mac installer is unavailable.

Run the installation as an administrator, accept license terms, and select your preferred installation folder. The process completes in 2 to 3 minutes under normal conditions. After installation, launch the platform and enter your login credentials. Choose your FxPro server from options such as FxPro-MT4Live01 or FxPro-MT4Live02 for stable connectivity.

Mobile Application Access

Download the FxPro app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Android devices require version 5.0 or later, while iOS devices must run iOS 12.0 or newer with hardware equivalent to iPhone 6s or above. Install the app, allow necessary permissions, and log in using your FxPro credentials or create a demo account.

The mobile app syncs with your desktop platform automatically. It provides full MetaTrader 4 functionality, including charting, order execution, and account switching. Push notifications alert you to price changes and order statuses in real time.

Platform Interface Navigation

The MetaTrader 4 interface includes four key areas: Market Watch, Navigator, Charts, and Terminal. Market Watch displays live price quotes and spreads for all instruments. Navigator hosts your accounts, indicators, Expert Advisors, and scripts.

The central workspace contains charts with options for candlesticks, bars, and line views. Terminal shows your account balance, open trades, trade history, and alerts. Toolbars provide quick access to order placement, chart types, and timeframes.

Forex Pairs Available

FxPro offers more than 70 forex pairs on MetaTrader 4. Major pairs like EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and USD/JPY feature spreads starting from 0.6 pips. Minor pairs such as EUR/GBP and AUD/CAD have competitive spreads around 1.2 pips. Exotic pairs include USD/ZAR, EUR/TRY, and GBP/SGD.

Quotes update every second during active market hours. Overnight swap rates apply based on central bank policies. Access all available pairs by right-clicking Market Watch and selecting “Show All.” Instruments are categorized to ease navigation.

CFD Trading Options

Trade CFDs on global indices like S&P 500, FTSE 100, and DAX 30 with fractional contracts from 0.1 lots. Commodity CFDs include gold, silver, crude oil, and natural gas with spreads as low as 0.3 pips on gold and 0.03 on silver. Stock CFDs from NYSE, NASDAQ, and LSE include over 170 shares such as Apple, Tesla, and Amazon.

Commission charges start at $0.045 per share with a $1 minimum. CFD trading hours follow underlying market schedules with extended sessions for indices and commodities.

Order Execution and Management

Order Types and Functions

Our MetaTrader 4 platform supports six order types: Market, Buy Limit, Sell Limit, Buy Stop, Sell Stop, and Stop Loss/Take Profit orders. Market orders execute instantly at current market prices. Pending orders allow entry at specified future price levels.

Create orders via the New Order dialog or one-click trading panel. Adjust lot size and set stop loss or take profit parameters before confirming. Market orders typically fill within 0.1 seconds under normal conditions.

Modify open orders by double-clicking them in the Terminal window. Change stop loss or take profit without closing trades. Partial closures are supported for flexible risk management.

Risk Management Tools

Stop loss orders limit downside risk by closing positions at preset levels. Take profit orders automatically lock in gains when price targets are reached. Trailing stops adjust dynamically with favorable price movements, starting from a minimum distance of 15 pips.

Monitor margin levels in the Terminal window. Margin calls occur at 80%, while forced liquidation happens at 50%. Use the built-in risk calculator to determine position sizes aligned with your risk tolerance.

Technical Analysis and Expert Advisors

Technical Analysis Features

MetaTrader 4 includes 30 technical indicators for trend, momentum, volume, and volatility analysis. Examples are Moving Averages, RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, Parabolic SAR, and Ichimoku Clouds. Apply multiple indicators to a single chart for layered analysis.

Export detailed backtest reports for performance analysis. Testing over a minimum of six months is recommended to validate strategies reliably.
